Sizing Guide Collar & Harness
Here at Pampered Petz Hornsby we try to accommodate all pet breed and size, but our favourite pets come in all kinds of different sizes and shape. So please be sure to measure your pet’s sizing (then check and double-check!) before making your size selection.
Here are some tips on measuring your pet:
- Keep in mind which products you are measuring for. For Harnesses, Step-in Harnesses and Collars, you'd want the fit to be snug (but not too tight that it would make your pet uncomfortable). For Apparel items, usually, a little room for them to move is better.
- A safe general rule is too, allow enough room to slip 2 fingers between the measuring tape and your pet to get a snug fit.
- If you find that your pet is in between sizes, go for the larger size! This way you will have room for growth or an increase in coat thickness.

For best fit measure the girth of the dog. This is the area behind the front legs and around the body. The neck will typically fall into place once girth is determined. If the measurement is close to the end of the size range, go up to the larger size.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. LOOSEN STRAPS AND UNCLIP BOTH BUCKLES
2. WITH HARNESS ON THE GROUND, STEP DOG'S RIGHT LEG INTO POSITION WITH THE WIDER PART OF THE CHEST PLATE NEAREST THE DOG'S HEAD
3. STARTING WITH THE NECK STRAP, CLIP STRAPS TOGETHER
4. ADJUST STRAPS TO FIT YOUR DOG
TIP: KEEP THE NECK STRAP A LITTLE LOOSE SO THAT THE GIRTH STRAP DOES NOT PULL INTO YOUR DOG'S LEGS
IMPORTANT: DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN STRAPS! WHEN FITTED CORRECTLY, HARNESS SHOULD BE SNUG, BUT TWO FINGERS SHOULD EASILY RUN BETWEEN STRAPS & DOG.
